blue sky camps
Where Nature, Creativity, and Inner Wisdom Meet
Blue Sky camps immerse children and teens in the wonder of nature and introduce them to a vast array of creative expressions from building birdhouses and crafting gourd water bottles, singing songs and hiking outdoors to painting with watercolors and learning to work as a team. This rich tapestry of experiences nurtures their mind, body, and spirit. By connecting with the natural world and cultivating their imaginations, youth tune in to themselves, become aware of their emotions, and build community.
The skilled facilitators at Blue Sky provide a safe space and unique activities that encourage creativity and building awareness. Campers leave with a deeper understanding of their inner world as well as their unique contributions to their external environment. These experiences lay the groundwork for children to be reminded of their inherent worthiness and to build lasting connections with their inner knowing and with the world around them.
Every camp provides activities that support youth at their age and skill level. For the elementary-age campers activities will help them gain courage and support them as they realize how innately capable and connected they are. Camps for teens will incorporate projects and games that meet them right where they are in this present moment.
Camps in the summer of 2025 will be held at Harmony Woods Retreat Center, Liberty Lake Regional Park, and various other locations in the inland northwest region.

At Blue Sky Camps, we create spaces for young people to connect deeply—with the earth, with their own inner creativity, and with the quiet wisdom that lives in reflection. Rooted in nature and guided by intention, our camp invites youth to explore who they are through play, purpose, and presence.
Our scholarship program is here to ensure that this experience is accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstance. If you or someone you love would thrive in this environment, we warmly welcome your application.
i am capable
skills based activities + challenge opportunities
Hosted at TBD
Ages: 12-15
Every young person holds a divine spark inside them that is expressed through their unique talents and personal passions. Blue Sky Camps creates a space for teens to challenge themselves and learn new things and be reminded of their inherent value. We know that youth are both the student and the teacher and we can learn from each other.
Throughout the week, teens will dive into hands-on, skills-based workshops and outdoor adventures designed to spark creativity, build resilience, and encourage confidence in innate abilities. Activities might include things like, DIY creative builds, pottery or cooking, journaling and team challenges and leadership games
This is a space for teens who are ready to stretch themselves, try new things, and walk away with a deeper sense of confidence—not because someone told them they’re capable, but because they’ve lived it.
i am connected
Hands-on nature experiences that foster belonging
Hosted at Liberty Lake Regional Park
Ages: 6-13
In a culture that is driven by all things digital and lacks deep human interaction, this week of camp will remind children that they are part of a collective much bigger than themselves.
Through nature-based play they will remember they are one with the earth. There will be daily hikes, outdoor play, and time spent on the water. Practices that focus on collaboration and teamwork help kids learn to work together and discover the beauty of community. Campers will get in the lake, paddle board, identify native flora and fauna, and so much more.
This week is very nature focused as we explore all the ways that we are not separate from the earth but we ARE nature.
i am creative
self-expression + imagination fostered through art
Hosted at Harmony Woods Retreat Center
Ages: 6-15
Every child is born creative. Creativity isn’t just about making art—it’s about listening inward, expressing truth, and finding joy in the process.
This week we are exploring self-expression in playful, hands-on ways. Campers will dive into projects like balsa wood wind chimes, handmade stamps, rock and nature-based painting, and even tie-dyeing t-shirts using natural dyes from plants, teas, and flowers. They’ll also sculpt with clay to create essential oil diffusers, necklaces, and pendants using leaves and flowers as imprints.
While all campers engage in creative exploration, teens can expect opportunities to go deeper—both in skill and in self-awareness. They’ll have more autonomy in their projects, space to experiment with design and function, and guidance in developing their own unique artistic voice. Whether it’s refining a concept over multiple days, trying new mediums like charcoal or natural ink, or co-leading a group mural or land art piece, teens are invited to take ownership of the creative process.
Through daily creative exploration, movement, and time in nature, campers will learn to follow their inner spark and honor their own rhythm. This week offers the freedom to simply be—and to feel the joy that comes from creating something that is truly their own.
